GATE : GOAPS and Scrutiny related issues

Q1. Guardian name is appearing as parent’s name in the application should I be worried?
Please don’t worry. The name has been recorded correctly in our database. It will be always Parent’s / Guardian’s name.
Q2. College address appears blank and wrong. Do I need to worry?
Please don’t worry about college address. If we need to contact your college, we shall take the address from you at that time.
Q3. When I login to GOAPS, I see the status message “Your application is under scrutiny”. Do I need to worry?
No. Sit back and relax. If your application is found correct in everything, the status message will soon change to be accepted. If your application is found defective in any way, you will receive an email and an sms with instructions.
Q4. I belongs to SC/ ST category. What certificate should I attach or produce?
Please follow the format and form of SC/ST category and apply ASAP.
